The Case of the Tardy Handkerchief

I am a tad worried.  Remember that hankie I made for my sis? Well, I forget when I actually mailed it, but it strikes me that she should have received it by now.

Then I got to thinking about all the problems with the mail in the UK and I really began to wonder - is Canada Post any more reliable? Right.  Tomorrow is another week...

  1. I'm sure it's just taking its sweet time and will arrive safe and sound at your sister's house. Meanwhile your hankie looks FABULOUS! I have never tried a hankie - are the corners daunting?

  2. Whoo hoo! Now you only have half way to go!

My longest UK parcel... 2 months to the day to receive shuttles from LaCossette, but they did get here!

  3. I hope your sis receives her hankie soon!

I like the white edging on your current hankie - so pure and sweet and subtle :)

  4. The lily of the valley hankie is going to be very pretty.

How are you doing? I've been thinking about you.

  5. Diane, I am so SLOW! Look at you go with half of that beautiful pink and green border with getting tatted at the speed of light!

Ann, Thanks! The corners are just plain following a pattern like anything else. To me, the trick is to get the length exact. I find that difficult.

  6. Thanks, CM, I am getting there... ♥

Happy Bluebird, Me too! I keep thinking I should have sent it the more expensive way, but it was going to be over $20 and still there would be no guarantee of a safe arrival!

  7. As my mother always used to say: "it will be a pleasure deferred" - and worth the wait, think of her excitement when it finally arrives!

  8. I'm sure it will get there at some point! It's pretty frustrating though, the UK post. My friend (in England) sent a package nearly 2 1/2 months ago filled with chocolate and crochet, no sign of it :'( and they can't even track it. I still have a bit of faith. Maybe it's just doing some sightseeing along the way!

    Good luck :)
